SOUTHERN TURKEY
YIN YANG YOGA RETREAT
with Alison Fuller
Huzur Vadisi - Southern Turkey
25th September - 2nd October 2023
Prices start from £870 per person (2 sharing)

Join Alison Fuller, founder of Immersive Yoga, on this special Yin/Yang yoga retreat at Huzur Vadisi, Turkey’s longest established and best-known yoga holiday retreat. Established in 1993, it was the first centre of its kind in Turkey. In a secluded mountain valley, surrounded by pine forest, the yurt accommodation nestles amid olive and fig groves. It is an oasis of peace in natural surroundings, simple and rustic with shared bathroom facilities, yet comfortable and beautifully maintained with all conveniences in the yurts.

At night the valley is dark, revealing all the beauty of the night sky. At full moon it is truly magical to see the forest and valley bathed in moonlight. Huzur Vadisi’s setting brings a deep connection with the natural world that immeasurably enhances the benefits of yoga practice.

The combination of great yoga, stunning unspoiled location, welcoming experienced staff and legendary food creates an experience for which teachers and guests have been returning year after year.

Alison Fuller

Alison is devoted to continuous learning, sharing and radiating this knowledge for everyone to utilise and enjoy. The more she explores and learns, the more she is able to share her wisdom in a new and vibrant light, she says it is a true blessing and honour to share that journey with her students. She believes yoga is a great tool for everyone to use in everyday life to help bring the body, mind and soul back into balance, again and again.

Alison's teachings are grounded in the traditional lineage of Hatha yoga with its deep philosophies and married with the movement of Vinyasa Flow. She honours the traditions while awakening the true potential as an individual in the modern world. She hopes for each student to experience a journey that goes beyond the body and pierces deeply into the heart by weaving together Asana, Mantra, Mudra, Pranayama and meditation along with exploring rituals, dance, music and the deep connection with nature. Immersive yoga was created to take you deeper, raise your vibration and to help you truly become aware of how perfect you already are.

Daily programme
Studio with mats_3.jpg

Each day will begin with 1.5 hour yoga class in the spacious and fully equipped yoga Shala set amidst olive trees and vines. Morning class will include asana, meditation and pranayama. We will be gently opening the body and attuning the mind and breath. The class will slowly move  into a flowing, dynamic sequence always incorporating the cultivation of awareness, physical alignment and breath. The evening class will also be 1.5 hours, this time incorporating our Yin nature. Yin is a slow, deep, still practice, cultivating mindfulness and quiet internal space. The theme of the week will be ‘Balancing the Chakras’. We will work on a different Chakra (energy center) each day, bringing together both the Yin and Yang elements by passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences. Yin and Yang are the concepts which describe the two relative qualities present in everything.

Classes will begin in the evening of Monday 25th September and there will be one yoga-free day during the week to allow us some time to potentially go sailing.

Sleeping accommodation is in a comfortable spacious Turkish nomadic yurt, from which you can roll back the roof to view the night stars. You can also swim in a natural stone pool and eat truly delicious vegetarian food.
