Expect a full physical body cleanse through juice, broth and supplement therapy with the support of gentle yoga, breath work and massage.
According to Ayurveda Spring is a time for renewal as the body comes out of hibernation, ready to start shedding some layers, clearing away toxins and rebooting after a long, sluggish winter. Because our body’s are naturally in sync with the seasons, food that support the cleansing are in plentiful supply during the Spring.

A TYPICAL DAY
We will start the day with some gentle ayurvedic cleansing practices, followed by yoga and breath work that honours the elements (suitable for all levels). As the day unfolds we encourage our body to cleanse using the gifts of mother nature. These include freshly made raw organic juices (personalised for your dosha) cleansing drinks, warming broths, aromatic oils and herbal supplements to support the body’s journey.
There will be plenty of time for peaceful walks amidst the olive groves or down to the beach, wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic massage treatments, soak up the rays by the pool, or retreat to the exceptional comfort and tranquility of your room.

The day will conclude with a restoring broth, meditation, or restorative yoga all practiced in our PJ’s placing us perfectly for an early night or some star gazing under a blanket with friends.
THE YOGA
Each day we will be honouring the elements and dedicating the yoga to a particular dosha (Ayurvedic system for determining your unique constitution). By gaining an understanding of each dosha in this way, through a thought provoking practice you will gain valuable and useful insights into self care and a deeper understanding of both yourself and your loved ones. Each carefully prepared session will include asana, pranayama, visualisations and meditation to support the cleansing process, increase the digestive fire and facilitate a deeper level of re-jeuvination. Props such as bolsters, blocks and belts will be used (and provided for you) when needed, along with soothing massage and aromatherapy to allow the body and mind to release and let go. The morning and evening sessions will be about an hour in length and will be suitable for everyone, even if you are very new to yoga.

THE KARDAKI ESTATE
The peaceful and private Kardaki estate is situated amidst the olive groves on the picturesque coastline in the North East part of Corfu. We will be staying in two of the three luxury villas on the estate, each situated within stunning private gardens overlooking the sea. Each villa (Jacaranda and Mimosa) has a different look- bohemian and contemporary, each with it’s own private infinity pool and landscaped interconnecting garden full of olive trees and fragrant herbs. Each double or twin room have private terraces, beautiful views, ensuite walk in showers and luxury bed linen. Guests who stay with us here say they have the best sleep of their lives in the outstandingly comfortable beds. A sense of spaciousness and serenity prevails throughout the estate which is just a stone’s throw away from the sandy Kalamaki beach. The two villas which interconnect via a beautiful archway in the gardens are totally private and secluded, creating a safe and serene space for you to drop into during the retreat.
CORFU
Corfu, cradled in history, is the largest island of the Greek Ionian Islands. As illustrated in Gerald Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals, Corfu is surrounded by incredible nature and diverse surroundings.
The Kardaki estate where we will be staying, is about an hours drive along the coast from Corfu town, just north of Kassiopi. Dotted along the route are some quaint little fisherman villages and quiet beaches. If you would like to extend your retreat and stay a night in Corfu town we would be delighted to help arrange your accommodation for you. .

What to packWear something comfortable that allows you to move freely and with ease. We want you to feel the connection of your bare feet on the earth, so you can leave your shoes at the door. Post practice: At the tail-end of the Summer and into the Autumn, the days are warm & balmy and evenings are still extremely comfortable. However we always recommend to pack a light jumper and trousers just in case. Normally we will send you a weather report a few days before hand. At times, Corfu may have a rain shower: we will move our practice indoors if this is the case. Other items: The usuals: suncream, insect repellant, Summer footwear, Walking/hiking shoes, Swimming stuff, prescribed medication. You will not need to pack beach towels (all included).
