Victoria Falls is one of the world's largest waterfalls, located on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its exceptional natural beauty and geological significance. Also known as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" ("The Smoke that Thunders"), it is famous for being the largest sheet of falling water in the world, with a width of about 1, 708 meters (5, 604 ft) and a maximum drop of about 108 meters (355 ft).
The falls form a spectacular curtain of water that plunges into a deep gorge, creating a significant amount of spray and mist which has created the unique rainforest that surrounds it.
